Job Description Job Description The Role The Experienced Staff Accountant for Soho House is responsible for transactional finance initially including, but not limited to journal entries, intercompany postings, review of guest and deposit ledgers, and balance sheet reconciliations. Main Duties Recording payroll journals and other transactions. Partnering with the payroll team on various projects. Recording of rent and other expense line items and maintenance of supporting schedules that tie back to journals recorded. Assist in the month-end close process and ensure reporting deadlines are adhered to. Completion of various controls processes in a SOX compliant environment required as a public company. Recording other GL entries on a weekly basis to process transactions of the business Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure proper resolutions are communicated – This includes ensuring all intercompany postings are in balance. Helping to identify and implement financial process improvements. Supporting the quarterly and year-end internal and external audit process. Other ad hoc roles and projects as required. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with good intuition. Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Business required. 1 years' experience in managerial accounting and financial management in a hospitality or co-working business Pro-active and a self-starter, with an ability to manage key stakeholders Advanced Excel skills associated with large volumes of data, data management and reporting Why work with us Soho House offers competitive compensation packages that feature global benefits and perks. In accordance with New York law, the salary range for this role if filled within New York is listed below. The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. Pay Range $75,000—$80,000 USD
