POSITION IS LOCATED IN PHILADELPHIA) Abundant Life Family Services
(ALFS) frequently welcomes Early Intervention Special Instructor
candidates for our school-based and community-based programs in
Philadelphia and surrounding counties, catering specifically to the
age group 3-5. A range of scheduling options may be available to
accommodate candidates. ALFS is dedicated to meeting the evolving
needs of our families. We offer comprehensive services across
various settings, providing our team members with valuable
experience in early Intervention preschool classrooms, community
childcare centers, clinic and private homes. Professionals at ALFS
collaborate in a team environment with other highly skilled
individuals, fostering the sharing of resources and ongoing
learning of new practices. Early Intervention Special Instructor
Qualifications: 1. Master's degree from an accredited college or
university in early intervention, early childhood education,
special education, child development or family studies. 2.
Certified SI, need to provide teaching certificate, a valid
Pennsylvania certificate 3. Complete competencies as state
mandated. 4. One year experience working directly with preschool
children, ages 3-5, or children with disabilities and their

Responsibilities: 1. Provide early intervention services consistent
with professional standards. 2. Design the learning environment and
activities to encourage the child to acquire developmental skills,
cognition and social skills. Work with family and caregivers to
establish daily routines to increase learning. 3. Provide
information and resources to families of a disabled child. 4.
Provide families with corrective action and/or support to enhance a
child's ability to benefit from their educational environment. 5.
Adhere to all federal, state and county guidelines for early
intervention. 6. Participate in IEP meetings as indicated. 7.
Ensure all students are serviced in their least restrictive
environment. 8. Plan and organize instruction in ways to maximize
the child's learning. 9. Implement a curriculum that encourages
goal attainment as per the IEP. 10. Understand the special needs of
the child and advocate for the child with others. 11. Attend and
participate in meetings as needed. 12. Maintain all documents as
per county policy and document findings timely, accurately and
adhering to all educational guidelines.
