Healthcare contract management company seeking experienced Traveling Food Service Manager -for multiple long term care nursing facilities in -NY, NJ and PA area. The -Traveling Food Service Manager -will work under the direction of the Regional Manager and the needs to the specific facility assigned. -Traveling Food Service Manager -candidates must have previous cooking experience. Long term care cooking -experience preferred. This is an exciting opportunity to join a strong NY, NJ, PA, GA, and FLA based company as they continue to grow in the healthcare industry.
Traveling Food Service Manager -will be part of a collaborative Culinary Management Team. Responsible for stepping into facilities within assigned region which need support with supervision, preparing resident meals and/or other tasks as assigned based on the department needs. Prior to deployment to any facility, a complete briefing by the Regional Food Service Director or designee on the status of the facility and support needs reviewed.
Traveling Food Service Manager candidate for this position should have a combination of experience, education of a Certified Food Manager -(CFM) - or Servsafe.
-Traveling Food Service Director Responsibilities and Duties

Manage day-to-day operations by delegating authority, assigning, and prioritizing department functions and monitoring their daily outcomes.
Ensure food service operates within established budgetary guideline,
Monitor food control systems such as food temperatures, portion control, preparation methods, garnishment, and presentation of food to ensure that food is to physician's diet orders before delivery.
Knowledge of local, State, Federal regulations, and survey inspection process.
Follow all Covid Protocols -
Plan, assign and inspect the work of the Food Service Staff.
Monitor the storage and care of the food and paper supplies.
Manager the HR functions which include interviewing, hiring, orientation, and supervising staff.
Counsel assigned employees on infraction of established rules, policies, or guidelines, terminate, as necessary.
oversee the overall sanitation and cleaning of the kitchen, storage and dining areas, and equipment.
Effective communication with Regional for the needs of the operation during support assignment

Traveling Food Service Manager -Responsibilities and Duties

- - - - - - - - - Ability to travel up to 75% of the time from your home base account including overnight stays at hotels when needed.
- - - - - - - - - Able to work as part of a TEAM in a busy high pave kitchen atmosphere.
- - - - - - - - - Understanding after training on computer software system for resident meal tickets
- - - - - - - - - Must be ServSafe Certified - -
- - - - - - - - - 2-year cooking experience. Long term care cooking experience a plus!
