Position Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Job
Description We are seeking a qualified Travel Physical Therapist
Assistant (PTA) for a temporary assignment supporting
rehabilitation services in a clinical setting. The PTA works under
the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients
recover mobility, improve strength, and reduce pain following
injury, surgery, or illness. Key Responsibilities Provide physical
therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical
Therapist Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait
training, balance activities, and mobility programs Monitor patient
response to treatment and report progress or concerns to the
Physical Therapist Accurately document treatment sessions and
patient performance Educate patients and caregivers on home
exercise programs and safety techniques Maintain a safe, clean, and
compliant treatment environment Requirements Graduate of an
accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Active PTA license
in the assignment state Current CPR/BLS certification (if required)
Prior clinical experience preferred (SNF, hospital, outpatient, or
rehab setting depending on assignment) Ability to adapt quickly to
new environments and patient populations Assignment Details
Position Type: Travel / Contract Schedule: Typically Monday–Friday
(may vary by facility) Setting: May include Skilled Nursing
Facility (SNF), Long-Term Care, Hospital, Outpatient, or
Rehabilitation Center Start Date: As available Travel PTA positions
offer the opportunity to gain diverse clinical experience while
supporting facilities with temporary staffing needs.
