Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: MRI Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Days, 5x8hrs - Hours: 40 hrs/wk - Start Date: Apr 6, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with advanced proficiency in GE MRI systems and IV contrast administration experience for a high-volume outpatient radiology setting in New Jersey. Details - Outpatient radiology department at a hospital-based imaging center - High-volume setting with 30-minute patient scheduling - GE MRI systems used; Epic EMR charting system - 5 days per week, 8-hour PM shifts: Tuesdays–Thursdays 1:00 PM–9:00 PM, Fridays 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, and Saturdays 7:00 AM–3:00 PM - May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital Requirements - Minimum 1–3 years of MRI Technologist experience - Graduate of an accredited radiology program - ARRT (MR) certification required - Active NJ State RT license required (license required if applicable) - BLS certification required - Advanced proficiency with GE MRI systems - IV placement and contrast administration experience required - Epic EMR experience preferred - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment - Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible - 2 professional references required for consideration Additional Information - Position and prepare patients for MRI exams, including coil placement and patient communication via in-room microphone - Enter patient data, scan sequences, and protocol parameters into MRI system and imaging computer - Monitor patients throughout scanning via control room window and closed-circuit TV to ensure safety and comfort - Review images on video display to verify image quality throughout examinations - Enforce magnet room safety protocols by alerting staff about metal hazards near the MRI environment - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) is expected American Traveler Job ID P-679522.
