Job SummaryNetApp is seeking a Technical Hardware and Sustainability Product Manager to join our product management team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing hardware designs in large enterprise settings and working collaboratively with global R&D teams. This role reports to the Senior Director of Product Management and involves working closely with Product leadership, Engineering, Procurement, Sustainability, and Support teams to develop compelling product strategies in our fastest-growing segment.Additionally, this role includes responsibilities as a Sustainability Product Manager, focusing on developing and implementing ESG initiatives, reducing environmental impact, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. NetApp's GHG reduction targets are validated by the SBTi. If you are passionate about sustainability, data-driven, and influential, this is an excellent opportunity.Responsibilities

• Gather, validate, and evaluate product/market requirements through research and customer engagement.
• Collaborate with R&D to translate sustainability requirements into innovative technologies.
• Define product vision, strategy, and lifecycle plans.
• Provide market insights through analytics and research.
• Translate system and sustainability requirements into business language.
• Gain expertise in global sustainability strategies and provide insights to corporate leaders.
• Develop and execute programs to reduce carbon footprint, waste, and resource use.
• Understand hardware components' influence on power consumption and improve sustainability reporting.
• Monitor, measure, and report sustainability metrics aligning with standards like ESG, GRI, CDP, and UN SDGs.
• Collaborate across departments to embed sustainable practices.
• Assess and mitigate environmental impacts across operations and supply chain.
• Engage stakeholders on sustainability policies and practices.
• Stay updated on sustainability trends and regulations.
• Build partnerships with external organizations to advance sustainability initiatives.Job RequirementsTechnical & Industry Skills:

• 3+ years in product management, with hardware experience.
• Knowledge of server, networking, storage tech, and related standards.
• Experience with backup/disaster recovery architectures.
• Willingness to handle technical issues and customer feedback.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience working cross-functionally and internationally.
• Understanding of sustainability frameworks, ESG reporting, and lifecycle assessments.Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with tools like Tableau, Salesforce, Jira.
  • Knowledge of storage provisioning, CPU/GPU/DPU hardware, and PCIe/NVMe/SSDs.
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Familiarity with environmental standards (ISO 14001, LEED, GRI, etc.).
