Job Description:
Role Overview This leadership role is responsible for
establishing and driving a comprehensive enterprise data governance
program. The position will work cross-functionally with both
business and technology stakeholders to ensure data is reliable,
secure, compliant, and effectively leveraged across the
organization. The individual will define governance standards,
oversee data quality and stewardship, and help enable data-driven
decision-making, analytics, and emerging AI initiatives. Key
Responsibilities Design and implement an enterprise-wide data
governance framework, including policies, standards, and best
practices Lead cross-functional governance forums to align on data
definitions, resolve inconsistencies, and prioritize data
initiatives Establish and operationalize a domain-based data
stewardship model with clear accountability across business and
technical teams Define data ownership structures and enforce
accountability for critical data assets Ensure adherence to data
privacy, security, and regulatory requirements Oversee data
cataloging, metadata management, and lineage to improve
transparency and traceability Embed governance practices into
day-to-day operations across business units Promote a culture of
data ownership, quality, and literacy throughout the organization
Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on governance
processes and tools Advocate for governance as a key enabler of
digital transformation and advanced analytics capabilities
Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree from an accredited
institution 10 years of experience in data management, data
governance, or related leadership roles 5 years working with
cloud-based or modern data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
Experience collaborating with senior leadership and influencing
cross-functional stakeholders Proven ability to define and drive
data ownership and governance practices across an organization
Preferred Advanced degree (Master’s or higher) Experience
supporting or enabling AI/advanced analytics initiatives Prior
people leadership or team management experience
