Our product lines include Rekluse clutch baskets, JE Pistons and Wiseco Pistons and more.Manley Performance, a Race Winning Brands company in Lakewood, NJ currently has immediate openings for Machine Operators. Multiple positions and 1st and 2nd shift are available. Position SummaryMachine Operators are responsible for performing operations on assigned machines. This individual performs one or more of the following efficiently: operates production equipment; burrs machined products; inspects parts in process and finished goods; packages finished goods. Operates drill presses and other machines where complex setups, fixtures and tooling are furnished by others. May operate computer console. Uses simple measurement instruments to check work. Makes simple adjustments and notifies setter of the need for more complex tool or machine adjustments.Functional Outline:Setup, hand load, change tools and toolsetsFollow work instructions and Standard Operating ProceduresUse designated measuring techniques for each part familyKeep machinery and tooling in good working orderMaintain a clean, safe and organized work areaCommunicate issues effectively to appropriate individualsVisual attention to detail to detect surface imperfections such as dings, dents, scratches, etc.Other duties as assignedPhysical DemandsStanding for long periods of time. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands and have finger dexterity; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and Able to adjust focus.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Personal Protective Equipment is required including but not limited to gloves, safety glasses and hearing protection..
