Job Description Job Description Uhrig Construction is seeking an estimator with a minimum of 5 years commercial construction experience to join our team. Successful candidate will have experience estimating public projects and be responsible for the generation of revenue to ensure the profitability of the company. Excellent organization and communication skills. A degree in construction related field or equivalent work experience and thorough knowledge of construction materials, costs and commercial construction standards and processes is required. Must be able to read and understand specifications and blueprints. Job responsibilities include preparing estimates using knowledge of unit cost, production rates, mark up, profit, take-off techniques, and general trade math knowledge. This includes, but is not limited to review of drawings and specifications, visits to proposed job sites, pre-bid meetings, determination of quantity of materials and labor needed, collection of subcontractor estimates, and preparation of bids. We are a growing company located in Reading, PA and we offer a competitive salary and excellent benefit package. Work hours are M-TH 7 – 4:30 PM, F 7- 4 PM.
